SMARTShot – International distribution rights

SMARTShot   is an injectable long acting trace element product.  There are currently two products on the New Zealand market in the SMARTShot range – SMARTShot B12 (NZ329447) and SMARTShot + Selenium (NZ539006). A proven product in the New Zealand market, SMARTShot is an ACVM approved controlled release composition comprising vitamin B12 where the amount and release rate of the B12 are sufficient to provide the animal with its daily vitamin B12 requirements.  SMARTShot + Selenium is a combination of selenium and iodine in a long acting injectable SMARTShot product.

There are granted patents and trademarks in a number of countries to protect the product.  AgResearch is looking for an international distributor.

Kiwi Scour – Distribution and manufacture rights

Kiwi Scour is a patented and trademarked product which provides an automated small scour service.   It provides washing, chemical treatment and drying of fibres.  Kiwi Scour is modular and transportable allowing for on-farm use.  It can be customised to suit the scouring needs of small and specialist growers/processors and craft/cottage industries. Machines have been sold in USA and New Zealand.  AgResearch seeks expression of interest from potential distributors and/or manufacturers.

Protected by granted New Zealand patent 583478, and is currently under examination in USA and Australia.  Trademarks have been registered.

RAPID pH

Rapid pH is a proven patented system allowing meat plants to quickly establish carcass tenderness.  It has been used commercially in New Zealand for over a decade.  AgResearch seeks expression of interest from local and international users.

Nitrogen loss mitigation

Dosing technology for dairy farm effluent ponds to mitigate nitrogen losses.   Interested parties seeking to license or collaborate on this early stage IP are sought.

A New Zealand provisional patent application (629123) has been lodged.

Meat quality

Through this early stage processing technique, New Zealand meat processors can accelerate the meat handling process time (particularly chilling/ageing periods) prior to export and extend the shelf life (through frozen storage), but still providing equivalent meat quality attributes as for chilled only (never frozen) meat.   Interested parties seeking to license or collaborate on this IP are sought.
