The 2009 Meeting of the New Zealand branch of IAPB, hosted by the Forage Biotechnology Section of AgResearch, will be held in Napier and followed by a one-day Metabolomics workshop.
The major theme of this years event will be Pasture Biotechnology and will provide an excellent opportunity to highlight recent developments and successes resulting from forage based research. A metabolomics workshop is also being considered as part of the event and a list of key international speakers is being drawn up. This meeting is held bi-annually and usually attracts more than 100 delegates. The association itself comprises of almost 2,000 members in 85 countries. The NZ branch includes researchers working on applied and commercial aspects of plant functional genomics, gene expression and plant molecular biology.
