Non-invasive sensor and method of use
Non invasive sensor and method of use primarily for temperature detection, but also applicable to composition sensing including fat percentage.
Background
The project was initiated to measure the temperature of meat in pallets. Further discussions included chilled, composition and a range of thicknesses.
Invention
The technology involves using a plurality of microwave and RF beams to measure the composition of a biological sample, e.g. meat, vegetables in a carton. It is able to measure from small thickness (few mm) to cartons to very thick samples (pallets).
Uses of the Invention
This technology is expected to be used in the food chain to verify temperature and/or on-line invasive compositional analysis.
