The Metabolomics Centre of Excellence

The Metabolomics Centre of Excellence applies leading technologies and knowledge to improve our understanding of life processes at the molecular (metabolite) level.

Our technology aids the development of improved plant cultivars and livestock breeds, and helps to enhance our understanding of plant/microbe/animal interactions and the health and diseases of animals and humans.

Our approach is to work alongside you to generate results that you can rely on. We will work with you from the outset to ask the right questions to get the answers you’re actually looking for. We are open to individual modes of cooperation with partners from straightforward analysis to full biochemical interpretation.

Our extensive mass spectrometry capability includes a: Thermo ExactiveHi Res LC-MS; Thermo TSQ Quantum; 2x Thermo LTQ LC-MS-MS; Thermo DSQ GC-MS Orbitrap and; GC instrumentation.  We provide state of the art sample handling, analytical techniques and instrumentation, data processing, and data interpretation.  Our aim is to always provide a fast, reliable and cost-effective service for our partners.
