Ariana has a history of building and maintaining strong working relationships with Māori organisations which is critical to the success of the Māori Agribusiness Stakeholder Relationship Manager role.
Ariana’s affiliations are with Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Apakura and Ngāti Uekaha.
Before joining AgResearch in 2015, she has fulfilled key roles in organisations at the forefront of the agricultural industry in NZ which includes; Senior Implementation Advisor for Ministry for Primary Industries ( Māori Agribusiness), On-Farm Agricultural Analyst for Beef + Lamb NZ, Market Access Policy Analyst for Meat and Wool NZ and Research Officer for Imperial College in London. She has skills and experience within project and contract management and stakeholder relationship management.
Ariana supports the Portfolio Leader for Māori Agribusiness (Chris Koroheke), by strategically working with Māori Agribusiness stakeholders throughout the red-meat-value-chain and the dairy-value-chain to co-ordinate delivery of AgResearch projects ensuring relevant impacts are delivered. This involves working closely with Science Impact Leaders and scientists to understand the R&D initiatives that AgResearch can offer to deliver our impact areas associated with assigned stakeholders. Ariana also focuses on growing existing business relationships and developing new opportunities, which attract investment to enable delivery of innovative science to commercial clients and stakeholders.
