Chris Koroheke is AgResearch’s Kaiurungi Ahuwhenua Maori and his role on the Executive Team is to strengthen the relationships across the burgeoning Maori agribusiness sector.
His background is in developing resources through building relationships across organisations or iwi, in both environmental and commercial areas. This experience spans almost 30 years in which time he has as worked across central and local government.
Chris’ iwi affiliations are with the Ngati Maniapoto people, Ngati Wai, Te Rarawa and Te Aupouri, and Ngati Tarawhai.
He is involved in the fishing industry as Chairperson/CE of the Maniapoto asset holding company Te Kupenga o Maniapoto Ltd. and during his career Chris has also served in different roles with the iwi authorities that he is affiliated to.
