Research interests & activities
I love to explore game changing ideas, challenge status quo thinking, explore different ways of doing things and connect with like-minded people. As a Strategy Leader at AgResearch I strive to inform and align science effort to enable NZ's primary industries to transition and transform into sustainable, resilliant and commercially viable businesses. To do this we need to be aware of our evolving operating environment, customer focused and consumer led. As a Senior Scientist I am developing technology and tools to enable objective evaluation of carcass and meat quality in beef, lamb, pork and venison. My goal is to create sound, science-based investor-ready ready solutions that help transition the red meat sector from a high volume to a high value industry in-tune with our natural environment and global consumers.
