Research interests & activities
David is a senior scientist in the Plant-Fungal Interactions team of Forage Improvement, and also a Science Impact Leader. He is based at the Grasslands campus of AgResearch in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
David is a pasture scientist specialising in ecology and agronomy of temperate pasture grasses. Over the last 28 years he has been a member of the multidisciplinary team investigating the effects of grass fungal (Epichloë) endophytes on plants and grazing animals.
Current projects include development of selected endophytes for pasture grasses and cereal grain crops.
