Research interests & activities
My research focuses on the development of nutritional strategies to improve the quantity and quality of products from ruminants. Particularly, I am interested in finding ways to feed animals, so that emissions of urinary nitrogen and enteric methane from ruminants are minimised.
Some of my current research includes development of nutritional strategies to increase the efficiency of nitrogen utilisation in lactating dairy cows, measure the effect of feeding brassica crops on methane emissions, and study of rumen and digestive parameters influencing methane emissions for incorporation in mathematical models to predict methane production from ruminants.
