My research interests include the end-to-end governance, management, integration and analysis of disparate data sets with a focus on on-farm digitalisation. In a New Zealand context Māori Data Sovereignty and AI ethics play a central role. Relying on effective national and international transdisciplinary relationships, my work focusses on inclusive engagement of data ‘citizens’ throughout the data lifecycle, particularly the ability to understand how uncertainty affects decision making.
