I grew up in Ōpōtiki and Rotorua before I moved to Kirikiriroa for University. I whakapapa to Ngāti Maniapoto.

Ten years ago I joined AgResearch on a Māori Summer Internship. I now have the great privilege of running this programme, Te Puāwaitanga. I am passionate about supporting opportunities for Rangatahi in science.

I earned my PhD in Plant-Insect Interactions from Lincoln University in 2020. I became a scientist because I love to learn!
