I am a plant molecular biologist. After completing my PhD at Massey University in 2007, I joined a research team at AgResearch that focuses on various molecular, physiological, and biochemical techniques to study and manipulate the enzymes involved in lipid production to enhance metabolisable energy in forages.
My current project focuses on developing forages with improved traits useful in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and in improving animal nutrition and health.
