As a member of the Rumen Microbiology team, the main threads of my research are aimed at understanding diverse microbial ecosystems to identify strategies for enhancing plant, soil and animal productivity coupled with a reduced environmental footprint. My expertise lie in utilising classical microbiology in combination
with multi-omic tools to deconvolute and interpret synergistic interactions between fiber-degrading
and methanogenic microbial populations.
