Sarah van Amsterdam

I am a PhD student (with University of Auckland) working to identify soil-borne pathogens in Aotearoa New Zealand pastures and develop molecular diagnostics.
I am interested in contributing to sustainable pastoral systems by understanding interactions of plants, insects, soil-borne pathogens, and the wider soil microbial community.
I have experience working on research projects aiming to provide applied solutions to entomological and pathological issues faced by the industry.
