Sidra Hussain

I’m a plant molecular biologist focused on understanding and improving drought tolerance in ryegrass using genomic tools. My research integrates phenotypic trait analysis with genomic data to support the development of resilient pasture systems. I earned my PhD in Plant Biology from Massey University (2023), where I studied cytonuclear coordination in Tragopogon allopolyploids—building on earlier research in plant stress physiology during my Master’s.
