I am a chemist and self-proclaimed geek. I love using high-tech equipment like mass spectrometers to analyse complex mixtures, and then manipulating the data using software tools and programming languages.
My PhD at Victoria University and post-doc at Johns Hopkins University were on synthetic organic chemistry, but I then joined MAF Technology (i.e., AgResearch precursor) to do deer velvet research at Invermay.
I’m now based at Lincoln researching bioactive components of velvet and food!
