The long-term aim of this programme is to future-proof New Zealand's agricultural production systems by supporting sustainability and market competitiveness through robust partnerships and evidence-based footprinting metrics.
This science programme has two areas of focus:
- Strategic partnerships: Develop longstanding and deep research partnerships with key players in science and extension to continue to provide trusted solutions for farmers
- Integrating science for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): Doing the science to calculate environmental, social, and cultural footprints to support agricultural exports in international markets and deliver the outcomes for New Zealanders and our environment.
