Karin Schutz
Senior Scientist
I have a PhD in Ethology and am working as an animal behaviour and welfare scientist in the Animal Behaviour and Welfare team at AgResearch. Since I came to New Zealand in 2004 from Sweden I have mainly worked with various welfare issues in the dairy industry, including exposure to hot and cold weather conditions and different management practices. I am currently leading projects around winter management in dairy cattle, heat stress in dairy cattle and sheep, and calf management.
