I hail from rural South Auckland and then grew up in rural South Canterbury. I am a materials scientist with a background in both biochemistry and mechanical engineering, specialising in novel bio-based materials. I work on both the development and characterisation (esp. chem and mech) of materials from various biomass precursors and for various end uses.
